I'm Matt, a software engineer and boating enthusiast based in Washington State (but on the move). I started Hermit Cove Boats, offering cool skin and frame boat plans and kits. Check it out!
There is barely any wind out here, thank god Wondertime has an asymmetric spinnaker. While becalmed we tossed in some old tortillas. They sank flat like dinner plates, and we could see them until they were tiny, the size of teacups, way way down there. I took a swim during a calm, and the water is spend-all-day-in-it warm. It was good to get off the boat and do a little exercise. Otherwise I just busy myself atrophying all day.
Hopefully the wind will pick up and I will see land again one day. Do me a favor, and kick some dirt for me would you? Maybe sprint in one direction for more than 5 feet?
